Do you need help to access our services?
There are no barriers to accessing our support services and programs. We can work with you to overcome any difficulties in being able to do one of our programs. Please let us know before you come, that you might need some help and we will ask what would work best for you.
Support for people with disabilities
If you have a physical disability, we will work with you to understand how we can adjust things to work for you.
Support for language and culture
We will ask about your cultural preferences and will do whatever we can to support your cultural needs. This might include bringing a support person to sessions with you or asking us to open your sessions in a particular way.
Support for gender diversity
We focus our support on the person and welcome everyone from all genders and sexual orientation.
Support for people struggling with mental and/or physical wellbeing
We all experience mental distress, anxiety and depression at some time during our lives and many of us are living with neurodiversity. Our counsellors will support you to feel comfortable and safe during your program.
Supportive spaces, welcome to all
Our counselling spaces are warm, calm and inviting. We have casual, relaxed, furnishings and our spaces feel more like a home space than an office or organisation.
Here’s some practical ways we can support you
- We provide wheelchair access to our building and some flexibility about where your counselling can take place.
- We can arrange a signing specialist for people with hearing impairments.
- We can arrange an interpreter when needed.
- We welcome you bringing a support person to your session.
- Our counselling rooms aim to put you at ease – we have weighted blankets, fidget toys and calming diffusers (you can choose your own scent).
- Our counsellors are very experienced in supporting people to feel safe and comfortable and they can deliver a program in a way that works for you. They will be very happy to talk about this with you.
